Celebrating the stories of ancient herdsmen, who lived alongside wildlife and once journeyed up to the top of the hill and gambled for cattle in the Bao game built into the rocks.

LOCATION:
In South West Kenya, on the edge of Ol Chorro and Enonkishu Conservancies, at 7,200 feet, there stands the highest a quartz mountain in the Maasai Mara.
With breathtaking views, the Wild Hill offers an incredible opportunity to experience this vast wilderness of the Northern Mara.
With a landscape that combines grassy gentle slopes, dramatic rock faces and cliff side forests, the area is home to a huge variety of iconic African animals and birds
PART OF A BIGGER PICTURE
The Wild Hill is part of the Collection in the Wild, based in the Enonkishu Conservancy where the land has transformed from farming back to nature. This “rewilding” project has restored the rangelands, bringing wildlife back after over a decade of intensive farming.
The lodge, sustainably built with walls that mimic elephant skin and grass roofs that blend seamlessly with the landscape has been designed to last the ages and inspired by ancient Africa.
The challenging road to the Wild Hill was constructed by hand to allow the first lorry to reach the site.
This space is sacred and special, highlighted by the Bao game petroglyph carved into the rock, believed to be over 3,000 years old. Through the Wild Hill, we continue to partner with the community to protect the land and wildlife for future generations. We hope our guests leave feeling inspired, refreshed, and relaxed.
