THE SPACE
The Wild Hill welcomes guests with an enchanting secret door, the first sight that ignites curiosity and wonder. This mysterious entrance leads into a dramatic tunnel, inviting visitors to embark on a journey into the heart of this unique retreat. As they traverse the tunnel, anticipation builds, culminating in a breathtaking reveal: a lush green courtyard and grand carved doors framed by expansive glass panels that showcase sweeping views of the Maasai Mara plains, 2,000 feet below.
The main area features soaring high ceilings, with a cozy living space anchored by a large fireplace on one side and a dining area with a log burner on the other. Guests can gather at the beautifully stocked bar or explore the wine cellar adjacent to the dining room.
For entertainment, there is a media room, library, and pool lounge equipped for games and relaxation.
The infinity pool, which appears to hang over the cliff, is complemented by a hot tub where guests can unwind under the stars.
A massive fire bowl provides a perfect spot for evening gatherings to watch the sunset and recount daily adventures. The Colobus Bar offers light meals throughout the day, while the boma area invites guests to enjoy evenings under the stars, complete with chefs preparing meals over an open fire.
Accommodations include the family villa, featuring two interconnected rooms with ensuite bathrooms that boast expansive baths overlooking stunning views and outdoor showers. Each room shares a spacious living area equipped with a log burner and mini bar. Additionally, three more villas provide luxurious living spaces with large bedrooms, decks, log burners, and ensuite bathrooms with outdoor showers.
Guests seeking relaxation can visit the spa, which overlooks a serene landscape accessible via a picturesque walkway through an ancient forest glade. The spa includes treatment rooms, relaxation areas, showers, a hot tub, sauna, cold plunge, and even a hair salon. A rooftop yoga deck adds to the tranquil offerings.
The property’s design incorporates living grass roofs that blend seamlessly into the hillside, while sustainable practices are highlighted through the use of reclaimed fence posts in construction and exterior walls mimicking elephant skin texture. Interiors reflect the rich history of ancient African trade routes, creating an immersive experience that connects guests to nature and culture alike.
